Rorke Data Galaxy HDXA3 8Gbit Fibre Channel to SATA RAID

The Galaxy HDXA3 RAID is an 8Gbit FC to SATA 12, 16 or 24Bay RAID, with expansion available through SAS to SAS/SATA JBODs. 12Bay RAIDs are expandable to 84 drives (1 RAID and 6 x 12Bay JBODs). 16Bay RAIDs are expandable to 112 drives (1 RAID and 6 x 16Bay JBODs). 24Bay RAIDs are expandable to 104 drives (1 RAID and 5 x 16Bay JBODs). RAID controllers have 2GB RAM each, and also have 4 x 8Gbit Fibre Channel host ports each. The product is capable of RAID levels 0, 1 (0+1), 3, 5, 6, 10, 30, 50, 60, NRAID and JBOD, with redundant fans and power supplies. Please order external cable(s) separately (RAID enclosures have LC optical (SFP) external connections). Expansion from RAID to JBOD varies (mini-SAS SFF-8088 or Infiniband SFF-8470) dependent on RAID/JBOD configuration). SAS interconnect cables are included with expansion JBODs. Dual controller RAID controllers include BBU's (1 per controller). For single controller RAIDs, BBU is an option. Single controller RAIDs not upgradable to dual controller. RAIDs ship complete with RAID chassis and controller(s), drives, rackmount kit, and 2 8Gbit short-wave LC optical SFP's per controller.

power failure. This is coupled with an increased 3 year BBU life cycle that powers this cache
process during a power failure, securing data integrity

Galaxy HDX3’s modular design includes hot-swappable drives, fans, redundant power supplies
and controller modules, making maintenance simple without service interruption. The built-in
browser-based management software provides easy to use set-up, diagnostic, and monitoring
capabilities. The 12 bay HDX3 easily scales to 84 HDD using add-on SAS JBODs and can be
